What comes through the door
Most machines that come in here aren't broken in any dramatic way. They sat. Fuel with ethanol in it pulls water out of the air, and after a season in the can it turns to varnish in the carburetor bowl and the jets, which is why a mower that ran fine in October won't catch in April.
The other half of the work is edges. A blade run through Franklin County clay, and over the gravel where a driveway meets the street, goes round at the corners. A round blade tears grass instead of cutting it, and that's the gray fringe you see across a lawn two days after you mow. Same story with a chainsaw chain that's touched dirt once.

This is run like a family business and they know what they are doing. I was referred for a warranty repair. They do not seem to lack work and I had a wait. They fulfilled the repair pretty close to the time promised. The "showroom" is small and smells like a shop from my past with the fragrance of old grease and oil.
We had a Ryobi electric riding mower that suddenly stopped working. They picked up the mower and working with Ryobi, were able to repair it after several months. The amount of dedication to finding the problem and fixing it was incredible. I highly recommend Dave and his willingness to complete repairs.

Usually, yes. Most no-start machines come down to old fuel, a gummed carburetor, weak spark or a tired starter, and all of those cost less than a new mower. If a repair is going to cost more than the machine is worth, we'll say so instead of doing it.
Yes, and electric mower repair is something reviewers mention here. Battery machines fail in their own way, mostly boards, switches and connectors instead of fuel and spark. Bring the battery and the charger with it.
Depends on the season and on parts. Spring is the busiest stretch of the year, and a warranty part ships on the manufacturer's schedule, not ours. You get a time frame when we take the machine in, and a call if parts change it.
